Pinnacle's Connection To The Electronic Department

A fully electronic medical record shows great advantage for a busy radiation oncology department.  Significant improvement in time can be realized by not having to search for paper records and to have these records available regardless of location.  The recent improvements to record and verify systems have brought the promise of an electronic department closer, but the Pinnacle treatment planning system still does not easily send it's plan information in a format universally accepted by these systems.

This is where EMR Link comes into play.  EMR Link is a set of scripts that reside on your Pinnacle system and a WIndows PC EMR Link server program that works on any standard Windows PC.  With the click of 1 button, a customized report is sent to your R&V System for inclusion into a patient's record, as well as optionally being emailed to a customizable email distribution group.  The reports are fully customized to your needs and can include the plan report, transverse, sagittal or coronal slices, ODM's, DRR's, BEV, REV, etc.  This all occurs with no user intervention or manual processes.
