Our Story

"Exceptional people doing exceptional work.” It’s more than a slogan to us, it is one of our founding principles and has guided us from inception. This founding principle is how we choose our clinical and strategic partners, as well. We believe that it takes a team of people collaborating on the best tools to discover what is possible in patient treatment. The expertise of our team is complemented by a shared commitment to professional growth, camaraderie,passion for life, and dissatisfaction with the status quo.

During our six years of collaboration with clinicians around the world, we noticed an emerging pattern. The primary focus of clinics was the pursuit of the latest, highly sophisticated technological tools, but there was no clear model for how to deploy those tools to achieve the best treatment planning possible. This resulted in a significant gap between the technological capabilities of radiation therapy equipment and software, and the ability of clinicians to utilize that equipment for optimum patient care.

In 2007 we set out to define what is possible through the Challenge Process. Our Plan Challenge and Contouring Challenge process has allowed us to benchmark the best practices of the most advanced clinicians in medical dosimetry. Our clinical partners have collaborated with ROR to define criteria for best practices from the actual work performed on clinical data sets provided across the most widely used treatment planning systems. As a result, we have come to believe that it is possible to improve both quality and operational efficiency by clinically integrating people, systems, and processes. The goal is no longer to achieve what is acceptable, but what is possible.

Our staff are all Certified Medical Dosimetrists with an average of 15 years of experience in radiation oncology. Their combined experience spans seven decades, covers all treatment planning systems, and ranges in expertise from medical imaging and radiation therapy to medical physics and teaching. They are equally capable at planning all body sites, 2D planning, 3D planning, IMRT, Tomotherapy, RapidArc, SmartArc, and compensators. Our courteous, professional staff currently serves multiple clinics nationally and internationally with a comprehensive suite of radiation oncology solutions integrating people, systems, and processes.
