Brent D. Murphy is a board certified physicist with over 20 years experience. He comes to CCC/GHS from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in South Bend. Brent was active in the development of the radiation therapy department including CT Simulation, 3D Treatment Planning, IMRT Implementation, and a Physician’s Peer Review Program.
Brent was the founder of Advanced Radiotherapy Consulting, Inc (ARC), ARETE Medical Physics, Inc, and Ascend Medical Physics. These entities merged together in March, 2009 to form Global Physics Solutions, Inc (GPS). Brent leads the Training & Education Arm for GPS running weekend courses at the University of Notre Dame for Medical Dosimetrists and Medical Physicists. GPS and ROR work closely together to provide excellent patient care in the Cancer arena.
Brent began his education at Purdue University earning his Bachelors in Health Physics in 1986. Brent was in the United States Army 25th Infantry Division and later served time as Tripler Army Medical Center’s Radiation Safety Officer where he managed a broad scope NRC license with over 300 radio-isotope users. Brent received his Masters of Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin, the country’s premier Medical Physics program. Brent returned to Hawaii where he worked at Queen’s Medical Center and St. Francis Regional Medical Center. Brent lead programs in High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy, Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and the start-up of 3 new cancer centers.
John P. Lowden, MS,CMD,RT(T)
Certified Medical Physicist
John P. Lowden is a Medical Physicist with 12 years of experience in radiation oncology. After 3 years as a Radiation Therapist, and 5 years serving as a Medical Dosimetrist he pursed a masters degree in medical physics from Purdue University. John works at the Center for Cancer Care in Goshen Indiana which helps supports Radiation Oncology Resources (ROR). John has trained over 100 cancer centers on mlc and compensator based IMRT, CT Simulation, and Prostate Ultrasound Localization. He has been a dosimetry review course instructor for Advanced Radiotherapy Consulting, Inc (ARC) for the past 6 years. John also has extensive experience in TomoTherapyTM, High and Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and Stereotatic treatments. He is active member with ARRT, MDCB, and AAPM.
James A Wheeler, MD, PHD
Director of Radiation Oncology
James A. Wheeler, MD, PhD is a board-certified radiation oncologist and serves as director of the radiation oncology program. Dr. Wheeler has extensive experience in the latest techniques for treating cancer. He is active in the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), and is supportive of treating patients on clinical trials.
He frequently uses intensity modulated radiation therapy to help decrease the side effects and increase the cure rates from radiation therapy.
Dr. Wheeler was instrumental in bringing state-of-the-art TomoTherapyTM to the Center for Cancer Care. His expertise also includes PET/CT directed radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery and brachytherapy. His work has been featured in numerous medical journals, including the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Radiation Oncology Investigations and Cancer. Dr. Wheeler served as assistant professor in the Division of Radiation Oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Jay Markham ,BS,CMD, RT(T)
Oncology Sales Manager
Jay has over 11 years of experience in Radiation Oncology and is a Certified Medical Dosimetrist. Prior to joining ROR, Jay worked with Philips Medical Systems as a Product Support Engineer. Jay also spent his first two years with Philips as a Product Support Specialist and provided sales support for Pinnacle customers. Jay graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 1996 and 1997, with degrees in Radiation Therapy and Medical Dosimetry. He has experience in 3D planning, IMRT, prostate brachytherapy and also taught numerous planning classes while working for Philips. Jay is your clinical sales resource when working with ROR.

Greg Robinson CMD, BS RT(T)
Director of Clinical Operations
Greg Robinson is a certified Medical Dosimetrist with 10 years experience in Radiation Oncology. After three years at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and several years as a locum therapist, Greg attended the ARC Dosimetry School in 2004. Greg joined the group at Goshen General Hospital after working in Virginia Beach for two years as a dosimetrist, specializing in advanced planning on Eclipse and Variseed Treatment Planning Systems. Upon the merger of Infinite Planning Solutions and Radiation Oncology Resources, Greg has been actively involved in training new members of the company, while maintaining expertise in 3D, IMRT on Pinnacle and CMS Treatment Planning Systems, Prostate Seed Implants, LDR tandem and ovoid, and TomoTherapyTM Treatment Planning. Greg also works as an instructor for ARC Dosimetry School and trains facilities in IMRT across the country. He is an active member of ARRT, ASRT, MDCB and AAMD.
Steven Boyd, CMD, RT(R)T
Dosimetrist, Radiation Oncology Resources
Steve is a certified Medical Dosimetrist with over 15 years of Radiation Oncology and diagnostic CT experience. Steve has 4 years of advanced planning experience on Pinnacle and more recently the Eclipse treatment planning system. Steve has a strong medical background in IMRT Planning, 3D planning, Prostate Brachytherapy planning, Forward Planning and Radiation Therapy. He is a member of ARRT, ASRT, MDCB and AAMD. Advanced Radiotherapy Consulting (ARC) Dosimetry School has been using Steve as a specialized instructor for the last 4 years . Steve is also a graduate of the ARC Dosimetry School.
David Granville, CMD

David has over 20 years of experience in the field of Radiation Oncology and is a Certified Medical Dosimetrist. He is well versed in the areas of clinical, physics and academic field of Radiation Oncology. Prior to joining ROR, David worked at Philips Medical Systems as a Product Support Engineer for 9 years. He has vast experience in developing training courses for physicists, physicians and dosimetrists on the Pinnacle treatment planning system. He worked at University of Nebraska Medical Center for 11 years as the primary dosimetrist, gaining experience in 3D Treatment Planning, Brachytherapy, TBI, Stereotactic Radiosugery and IORT programs. David also is experienced on the Eclipse treatment planning system.
Kyle Velasco, CMD, RT(T)

Kyle is a certified Medical Dosimetrist with 14 years experience in Radiation Oncology. He has extensive experience in IMRT, 3D using CMS and Eclipse treatment planning systems. Kyle is the newest member of our Radiation Oncology Resources team and came on board after working for 12 years at Radiation Oncology Associates P.C. in Fort Wayne, IN. Kyle is also an experienced clinical instructor who has worked with the Advanced Radiotherapy Consulting (ARC) Dosimetry School since 2004.
